Description

The peculiar thread of my illustrations is a strong literary interest for fantasy and narration connected with realistic, technologic and scientific elements. I describe the most different technologies, the past, present and futures ones with their environment.
I developed specific skills and knowledge about literary, scientific and technical contents of my illustrations in addition to the ability to work with editorial staff and authors in a collaborative, creative and propositional way.

I dealt with educational and historical illustrations for Rizzoli Education, Pearson, Principato, ELI - La Spiga, RCS, PPBM, De Agostini, Capitello, Electa-Bruno Mondadori, Must (Museum of the territory of Vimercate), architectures and illustrated reportages with “Genteviaggi”(Rusconi) and “Tuttoturismo”(Domus) magazines.

In children’s illustrations I published with Milan Illustrations Agency (CH) (Illusalon-China),
Mondadori (Junior collections and various ones), Piemme “Il Battello a vapore” (“The Magic Tree House”, “Deltora”, “Silver Wings” and “Rowan” collections), “Focus Junior” magazine, Carthusia.

I realized astronomical and scientific illustrations with Fabbri-RCS (“Journey into the Universe”,“Astronomy”, “Extreme nature”,“Tecno”,“Sea planet”), UTET (“First” Encyclopedia, “Atlas of Universe”), the journals “Astronomy”, “Science and Life”, “Airone”, “Newton”, “Quark”, “Geo”, “Focus” as well as scientific institutions such as the National Institute of Nuclear Physics in Frascati and Ferrara and the Fermi Centre in Rome.

I worked with publishers who specialised in science fiction: in Italy Editrice Nord, Editoriale del Drago (“Great Encyclopedia of SF”), Solfanelli, Perseo, Peruzzo (“Futura” magazine); by Thomas Schluck agency with Goldmann, Pabel, Bastei, Heyne in Germany, J’Ai Lu in France, Fantastyka, Fenix, Alpha in Poland, Daw in USA.
I published for thriller and horror books with Garden, Cde, Tea.

I make use of digital (Photoshop, Painter) and traditional tecniques like acrilic, water colours, pencil, mixed media.

My independent paintings are based on a process of synthesis and abstraction of this
figurative and narrative imaginary. The “cold” and analytical description of shapes, surfaces, materials lose all reference to worlds or realities while maintaining a strong plastic vision.
Its 'a painting that gives a body to the abstract, where ambiguity and uncertainty, including perception, characterize this problematic and unsolved balance between organic and inorganic, natural and artificial, and make the same distinction between abstraction and figuration meaningless.

I love nature and all activities connected with it. I play sailing, swimming and ski mountaineering. I am a skipper, instructor and coach of Federazione Italiana Vela.
I developed all technical and relational skills required by this professional qualification included a good leadership.
