Description

Good Morning,

My name is Matteo Franceschini. I’m an italian illustrator.
I began my career with adverts, posters, brochures and other promotional material.
I studied painting, illustration and visual design at the Art Academy of Brera in Milan.
Currently I am dealing with editorial and advertising illustration. I mostly work with a mix of techniques ( acrylics, tempera painting, coloured pencils and felt pens ) with a broad variety of illustrations either in colour or black and white.

November 30th, 2011 illustration mentioned at the contest "Il Segno" of art magazine "Aperitivo Illustrato" of Pesaro.
December 22th, 2011: Annual 2011 award of the Italian Illustrators Association.
May 3th, 2010 : illustration mentioned at the contest “The world of the art” of De Agostini Giotto-Lyra.
April 16th, 2009 : illustration mentioned at the contest “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide” of Luerzers Archive, Wien.
March 28th, 2009: illustration for Gallery Art “Davico” in Torino.
December 18th, 2008: Annual 2009 award of the Italian Illustrators Association.
June 10th, 2008: special award of the jury at the contest “ La Sirenetta” di H.C. Andersen ( International Bookfair of Torino ).
December 20th, 2007: Annual 2008 award of the Italian Illustrators Association.
December 15th, 2007: illustration mentioned at the contest “Calendar 2008” for Cultural Association “Tapirulan” in Cremona.
October 6th, 2007: special award of the jury at the contest “Scarpetta d’oro” ( Little Golden Shoe ) in Venice.
