    Nell'estate 2017 Emanuele Contreras scrisse un brano dedicato alle vittime di Hiroshima, intitolato "Last Fan", l'ultimo ventaglio.
    Contreras morì di cancro poco prima di Natale, nello stesso anno.
    Il suo brano (testo e musica) è andato perduto, tranne una parte della musica orchestrale, ascoltata nell'estate 2018 da Lorenzo Alfieri.

    Ispirato da quell'ascolto e dalle parole della vedova, Mariangela Ungaro, Alfieri scrisse "Ai bimbi di Hiroshima" , musicato nell'estate 2019 dal cognato di Emanuele, Davide Ferro, pianista.

    Ed ecco la versione finale: in questo brano in cui si intrecciano dolore, riflessione, Storia, interrogativi a cui nessuno potrà rispondere, attualità e vicende personali. E forse anche profezie.
